HR-inform FAQs

What is the difference between HR-inform and the CIPD website?
The CIPD website (www.cipd.co.uk) provides general information for visitors and a wide range of resources for CIPD members. These include employment news, updates, summary case law and factsheets.

HR-inform is an additional subscription service which provides employment law information and practical tools such as policies and procedures, that will help you with every aspect of your HR role, saving you and your organisation time and money.

It covers a wide range of employment law topic areas that follow the employment lifecycle from recruitment through to retirement.
What employment legislation does HR-inform cover?
HR-inform covers employment legislation for England and Wales.

In practical terms, most employment law legislation in England and Wales also applies to Scotland and Northern Ireland. However, in Scotland, the legislation may come into force on a different date.

Northern Irish legislation is also implemented on a different date to that in England and will have its own set of legal references for bringing the requirements into force.

HR-inform only includes details on European legislation that affects the UK.
