This is the second in our new series of quarterly surveys of employee attitudes, exploring the fast-changing world of work and emerging challenges for individuals, employers and policy-makers. It's based on a representative sample of nearly 3,500 people in employment in the UK.
In this report, subtitled Job seeking in a recession, we focus on job security and job hunting, with 64% of respondents thinking it will be difficult or very difficult to find a new job if they're made redundant. We explore their reasons for wanting to change jobs or for staying, job search methods and skills and attributes of potential applicants.
The report also covers:
- job satisfaction
- employee attitudes towards management
pressure, control and workload - work-life balance and flexible working
- the impact of the recession on employees and employers.
