The survey was the third phase of a major two-year CIPD research project.

The main report from the work The Changing HR Function: Transforming HR?  was published in November 2007, pulling together all the findings from the project, including case study findings.

A previous paper The Changing HR Function: The key questions reported on the earlier stages of the project, drawing on a literature review and discussions with key practitioners and academics.
