About this download

The survey revealed that a third of UK employees are disappointed with their career progression, with poor quality careers advice at school and poor line management at work to blame. The report also considers social mobility, and found a number of factors that disproportionately hold back people from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.

'Almost a third (31%) of employees believe they are over-qualified for their current job, with 63%
believing they have the right level of qualification and just 3% saying they are under-qualified.'
