The CIPD collaborated with the HR professional bodies in mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong on research into trends and issues in learning and development practice in this increasingly pivotal region. 

We looked at a broad range of issues to identify trends, including:

  • skills requirements and gaps
  • talent management and coaching
  • economic circumstances and training spend.

Our report concludes with insights into the need for developing soft skills to complement the region's proficiency in technical skills, and the role of workplace learning in improving job satisfaction and employee engagement.
