This report, produced in collaboration with TAFEP, explores the attitudes of employers in Singapore towards mature workers and the return on investment they bring to organisations. It also makes comparisons with the situation in the UK.
There's a general consensus that older workers offer considerable advantages to organisations and the findings here suggest that customised approaches may be needed to engage and motivate older workers to maximise their productivity in later years.
"Mature workers are also seen to have high levels of loyalty and commitment coupled
with a strong work ethic, ... (they) also play an important role in developing talent
and transferring knowledge, through mentoring, leading and coaching."
