Recognising your experience
If you’re operating at a senior level in personnel and development and have got five year’s managerial-level experience, the best way for you to become a member is through professional assessment of competence (PAC).
PAC will recognise your existing experience, skills and competencies and fit alongside your busy work schedule, providing you with a seamless route to becoming a Chartered Member of the CIPD (Chartered MCIPD).
To start with, you’ll need to register with an accredited PAC centre where an adviser will help you prepare evidence to demonstrate how your experience and expertise match our practitioner-level Professional Standards.
Use our centre search to find your nearest PAC center. You'll need to:
- select all practitioner programmes in section 1
- select professional assessment in section 2
- enter your postcode
- click search.
You’ll need to provide your evidence through a combination of assessment methods. This should include one-to-one interviews with an assigned adviser from your centre, work-based evidence, a 7,000-word Management Report on a subject of your choice, and evidence of your Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
