This area of our site concerns non-executive directors (NEDs), also called independent directors (IDs). 

Research confirms our view that good practice in people management and development is a vital boardroom issue. The knowledge and expertise of HR professionals is vital to achieving high-return business and organisational performance. HR professionals are a source of the rounded individuals needed within the talent pool of potential NEDs.
