FAQs
Why do I need to log in to view certain content on the site?
Some of our content is secured for CIPD members only so you need to log in to be identified. Your computer will remember you after you’ve logged in once, so there is no need to repeat the exercise every time you come back to the site. Other specific areas of content require a login because we use the information you supply to keep you updated with CIPD content that is relevant to you. The majority of the site is freely accessible and you don’t need to log in.
What’s new and different on this site?
It looks very different – our designers have created a brighter, more contemporary environment for you to browse our extensive range of HR resources. You’ll notice a different set of menus at the top of the homepage which lead to new sections eg Comment and Insight, CIPD and the HR Profession and Networking and Events. We’ve made navigating around the site and finding what you need easier and invested in a really powerful site search engine.
What opportunities will there be on the new site for networking and sharing content through social media?
There are many opportunities to get involved. You’ll be able to share the content that you like with other people using links to twitter and other social sites. You’ll also be able to join in with conversations and opinion in our new Comments and Insight section – talking about topical HR issues of the day. Then there’s the blogs and also the CIPD communities for members to engage in peer-to-peer discussions and networking.
Will my existing favourites still work?
Yes, favourites, bookmarks and saved links should all still work.
