Ariane Reinhart has been appointed personnel director of Bentley Motors. She is currently working as head of group management development sales and marketing at Volkswagen AG and will assume her new position in October this year. Reinhart succeeds Christine Gaskell MBE who retires after 17 years with the company.

Varun Bhatia has been appointed chief HR officer for Levi Strauss & Co. He joins the company from Kraft Foods where he served as vice president of HR for Asia Pacific. He will assume his new position at Levi at the end of July. Bhatia, among various roles, was also the HR head for the Global Gillette Business unit at Procter & Gamble.

Raglan Housing has made two senior appointments with Claire Mackinnon as head of HR and Martin Howe as head of learning and development. Mackinnon was previously senior HR business partner for UK retail and business banking at Barclays, having begun her career on the Barclays Business Leadership programme in 2000. Howe has previously provided consultancy services to companies including Cadbury UK, Scottish Power, LoveFilm and Merseyside Police.

Former interim HR director for Iceland Foods, Jeanette Kehoe-Perkinson, has been appointed to the board of the Liverpool city region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). She previously worked for Ford and pharmaceutical company Novartis. Kehoe-Perkinsonis is also managing director of Just for People, a consultancy company she founded in 2003.

Car sharing network Zipcar, has appointed Ciara Smyth as its executive vice president of HR. Smyth brings with her years of experience in HR, most recently in her role as EVP and chief HR officer at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company. Prior to Houghton Mifflin, Smyth was EVP of global business operations at an educational software company named Riverdeep.

Singapore’s leading media company MediaCorp has appointed Kenneth Soh chief HR officer. Soh has 22 years of experience spanning HR, retail sales and business operations. Previous to MediaCorp, Soh spent 20 years with Shell Eastern Petroleum (Pte) Ltd in Singapore, most recently as HR general manager.
