Employment policy
Youth unemployment, apprenticeships and work experience placements are among the issues considered in the latest in the CIPD’s Benchmark series. As well as providing general macroeconomic commentary and a retrospective look at recent government employment policy and legislation, it looks at specific policy areas and evaluates their potential impact on members and the business community. The June report looks at new proposals for employment tribunal reform and changing dismissal laws for small businesses.

Certificate webinar
CIPD Training will be holding an open evening webinar on 19 July that will look at the new CIPD intermediate level certificate in HR management. Tweets and tribunals
A legal perspective on employees’ social media use is one of the topical items on the agenda of the CIPD Employment Law Conference (3 July, London). A panel discussion session, drawing on case studies, will also look at developing effective policies to deal with the subject.
