Mr R Nanda is currently the Senior Vice President - Human Resources at Tata Communications Limited – which is one of the leading companies of the Tata Group of Companies.
Mr Nanda has completed his Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Loyola College, Chennai University.
He has over 22 years experience in Human Resources across varied sectors like manufacturing, trading, retail and telecom. He started his career as a Management Trainee with the Murugappa Group in Chennai, where he spent nearly 15 years, in a variety of roles, and was handling the Corporate HR responsibilities across several of the Group’s businesses in chemicals and fertilizers, ceramics, electronics, sugar, bio-products and confectionery. He has also held line responsibilities as the Head of Manufacturing & Commercial for the Group’s Foods business.
Mr Nanda has also worked as the General Manager (HR) with the Amara Raja Group in Chennai – a leading Indo-US JV in the industrial and automotive battery segment. He has also worked for some time in the Middle East - with the Oman based OTE Group and the Dubai based Landmark Group.
