Greg Aitken

Greig is head of Human Capital Strategy at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group.

He has developed an award winning Human Capital Strategy that provides RBS businesses with a detailed understanding of how effective the Group is at attracting, engaging and retaining the best people and how its people strategy drives business performance.

Greig chairs the RBS Group’s 'human capital board' that has been set up to manage the Groups investment in this area and has developed sophisticated intranet based tools to support its HR and business leaders make informed people decisions.

RBS launched a comprehensive online Human Capital Toolkit designed for use by over 1,200 HR professionals within the Group, which will help them to survey, appraise, measure and benchmark the people for whom they are responsible.

Greig Joined RBS in 1986 and has worked in retail & corporate banking, line management and Core Process Re-engineering within RBS prior to moving into Human Resources.

He has an MBA, is a chartered Banker (MCIBS), as well as holding professional HR (Chartered FCIPD) and training (FIITT) certification.
