Emily Lawson is a Partner in the London Office of McKinsey & Company and the global leader of McKinsey's talent management and HR service line. Emily joined the Firm in 1998 after completing a PhD in genetics, an MBA, and working in a biotechnology company. Emily has served clients in Europe, the US, Asia and Africa, working predominantly in the Energy and Pharmaceutical sectors on transformation programmes requiring a high degree of cultural and behavioural change. Emily has led much of McKinsey's research on talent management and has written several well-known articles on this topic for the McKinsey Quarterly, People Management, Human Resource Management and other publications.
