Set at Postgraduate level, our Level 7 Advanced qualifications are the most widely recognised professional qualifications in the field of Human Resources (HR) and the highest level of qualifications we offer. They will give you a breadth of knowledge alongside the opportunity to specialise in your chosen area of expertise.
Using critical analysis, self reflection and problem solving techniques, our Advanced Level qualifications enable you to learn how to develop and implement creative and strategic HR solutions that drive organisational performance. You will also be able to develop your understanding of organisations and the external context within which HR operates. It allows you to gain recognition for your HRM experience through CIPD Chartered membership, whilst also fulfilling the increasing requirement of job adverts to hold a CIPD qualification.
CIPD Advanced qualification provide you with a professionally recognised qualification and a professional level of membership, Associate (Assoc CIPD). Plus our Advanced Diplomas provide the underpinning knowledge towards CIPD Chartered membership (Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow).
These qualifications are comparable to a Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 7 (or Postgraduate Level). This is comparable to Level 9 in Ireland, Level 11 in Scotland and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level 7.
Who is a CIPD Advanced qualification for?
A CIPD Advanced qualification is for those:
- responsible for HR decision making within an organisation at either operational, tactical or more strategic level
- who are a HR or L&D professional in a team and have a responsibility for HR development
- responsible for the HR function and activities within an organisation without a specialist function
- working as an independent or employed HRM/HRD consultant, supporting organisations in meeting their goals
- seeking to enhance and develop their career
- looking to become a Chartered Member of CIPD.
We offer a flexible range of qualifications that vary in size, content and length. You’ll gain credits for completed modules and the total number achieved will equate to either an Award, Certificate or Diploma. You can choose to follow either a HRM or HRD pathway and have the opportunity to study individual Advanced Level Awards to either start or top up your HR and L&D knowledge.
We offer one Advanced Award:
This is the smallest size Advanced qualification we offer and is made up of one module totalling 15 credits. This ultimately gives you the opportunity to study bite size topics and gain knowledge from a range of professional areas enabling you to build a practical qualification that suits your specific professional needs.
We offer one Advanced Certificate:
The Certificate qualification is larger in size and provides a firm introduction and understanding of HR or L&D in a wider business context.
We offer two advanced Diplomas:
The Diploma qualifications are the largest size qualification at this level and enable you to develop your skills of HR and L&D through undertaking more units and through widening your breadth of HR and L&D knowledge further. This qualification replaces and is equivalent to the previous CIPD Professional Development Scheme (PDS).
CIPD Advanced Level Certificate and Diploma qualifications provide you with a professionally recognised qualification and a professional level of membership, Associate (Assoc CIPD).
