Unit V1: Conduct Internal Quality Assurance of the Assessment Process

What is it?

Unit V1 Conduct Internal Quality Assurance of the Assessment Process sets out standards for monitoring assessments within an approved centre, whether single or multi-site, and covers the skills needed to evaluate, monitor and review the assessment process in your centre.

Who's eligible?

This qualification is for anyone who's responsible for the internal quality assurance of assessment decisions.

There are no formal entry requirements, but you'll need to show that you're working with a minimum of two assessors.

What does it cover?

Unit V1 is made up of four mandatory elements:

• V1.1: Carry out and evaluate internal assessment and quality-assurance systems
• V1.2: Support assessors
• V1.3: Monitor the quality of assessors' performance
• V1.4: Meet external quality assurance requirements.

How long does it take to complete?

It usually takes 12-18 months to complete this qualification and it's offered on a part-time basis. The level of attendance and duration will depend on where you choose to study.
