What I need to know...
May 2012 Examinations
The May 2012 examinations will take place between Tuesday 1 May and Friday 11 May.
Employment Law Students
Students who will be taking the Employment Law exam in May will be sent a link via email on Thursday 12 April which will give them access to the Section A pre seen case study and Section B topic areas. Copies will also be sent to students by post and will also be available from their study centre.
Whilst we make every effort to ensure the case study is readily available, it is the responsibility of each candidate to ensure they have access to the case study prior to the exam.
What can I bring to the Employment Law Exam?
You can bring, and refer to, an un-annotated copy of the case study. You may also bring with you and refer to, an un-annotated copy of recent Employment Law Statutes.
The most recent book is Blackstone’s Statutes on Employment Law 2011-2012, by Richard Kidner, published by Oxford University Press. Alternatively candidates may take an older edition, plus un-annotated copies of the:
- Equality Act 2010
- Employment Act 2008
- Work and Families Act 2006
- Transfer of Undertakings Regulations 2006
- Employment Law Act 2002 (Dispute Resolution) Regulations 2004
Highlighter pens or blank ‘Post-It notes’ may be used to identify passages for quick reference, but written notes of any kind are prohibited. Invigilators are instructed to inspect all books. Any found to contain written notes will be confiscated and the script declared void.
