  • The School of Psychology at the University of Exeter carried out a project for us, investigating the phenomenon known as the glass cliff, in which women and other marginalised groups are more likely to be placed in senior positions in circumstances where there is a high risk of failure. The final report from the project was published in September 2007. It is available to purchase in the CIPD Bookstore.

The first findings from the study were published in March 2007 as a free ‘change agenda’ report, Women in the Boardroom:The risks of being at the top.

  • Our think-piece Women in the Boardroom: A bird's eye view was published in 2004. Based on case studies, it offers an insight into why so few women are successful at board level.
