Information and consultation

  • We worked on a project exploring the impact of the Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations which have applied to organisations of 100 or more employees from April 2007. The work was funded by the Employment Market Analysis and Research branch of the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR), and co-funded by Acas and CIPD.

The research was conducted by a team of academics from Warwick Business School: Mark Hall, Michael Terry and Jane Parker, as well as John Purcell, formerly of the University of Bath School of Management and now with Acas as their Academic Adviser.

Two reports based on the research are now available: the first published in September 2007 focusing on larger organisations, and a subsequent report in Ocober 2008 focusing on medium-sized organisations.
