The relationship between HR and recruitment agencies
We are working with the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) on a research project which will explore the relationship between HR and recruitment agencies and come up with guidance on how both parties can get the best from this partnership.

Nottingham Business School have carried out a major research project for us looking at talent management in a strategically integrated way in the global, national and organisational context. We have published a number of reports based on this project.

We published a research report focusing on the pros and cons of HR outsourcing in June 2005. This includes detailed case studies focusing on the decision-making process involved.

Flexible working
We have an interactive tool to help managers assess how flexible working is operating in their organisations and how and how they can improve and support arrangements for the benefits of employees and the business.

Our survey into flexible working practices was published in February 2005. It examines how organisations are making use of flexible working practices – exploring motivation and the effects on business. It looks at the range and availability, motivations for using, perceived effects, take-up and evaluation, the challenge of communication and implementation and flexible working in context.
