You can access the Diagnostic tool from the main navigational menu or directly from each Professional Standards module. When entering the tool from the main menu, you must select the skills and knowledge areas you want to explore by clicking on the corresponding checkboxes.

The questions presented on your screen correspond to the modules you have selected. The progress bar at the bottom of the screen tells you how many questions you have answered from the total selected.

The areas are based on the CIPD's Professional Standards. The questions are answered by clicking the appropriate responses.

You can exit the Diagnostic tool at any time. If you exit before completing your question session, you can elect to delete your answers or save them and resume the session at a later stage. Once you have completed all the questions in your session, you can view four reports based on the answers you have given.
