The dark side of girl power: female bullying at work

A recent survey carried out on behalf of public-sector union Unison showed that 33 per cent of young women at work had been bullied in the last six months, and 66 per cent of these said that the bullying was ongoing.

The EAT has held that a tribunal's decision not to grant an adjournment midway through a hearing to accommodate a Muslim claimant's desire for a 'period of mental and spiritual purity' during Ramadan was not a breach of his right to a fair trial under Article 6 of the European Convention of Human Rights.
