About this download

This survey provides annual data on current and emerging practice in reward management.

It reveals that there is a wide range of reward practices between and within organisations.

Some of the reward challenges facing employers include:

  • how to recruit, retain and motivate employees when resources are limited
  • dealing with pension deficits
  • implementing change in reward practices

It also shows that despite the pension 'crisis', the vast majority of employers still contribute to the pension arrangements of their employees. This is in spite of employers restricting final salary pension schemes to existing staff.

It also forecasts what some of the main influences on the size of pay awards in 2004 will be.
