The WASP model

Overview

A typical interview lasts about 60 minutes. To get the most out of this short amount of time, your delegates will need to plan effectively. This tool uses the WASP model:

  • Welcome
  • Ask
  • Supply
  • Part (as in, bringing the interview to a close and 'parting ways' with the delegate)

The tool applies WASP to a series of short exercises that are designed to help participants effectively structure an interview that will get the most out of their time with a candidate. The tool is very participative and the exercises work best in small groups.

Tool aims
  • To introduce participants to the concept of the WASP model.
  • To help participants understand how to effectively structure a typical interview.
