Delivering confident presentations

Last Modified  15 August 2016

Assured and confident presenters instil more confidence in their listeners than nervous and timid presenters do. Effective presenters capture an audience's attention, and motivate people to act on the most important information. This tool encourages learners to identify which issues specifically trigger their nerves and to minimise them.

Learners will also benefit from a range of hints and tips that they can consider, starting at the design stage and then incorporating advice into their preparation and delivery – including the opportunity to practise the use of confident body language.

Tool aims
  • To reinforce the importance of delivering presentations confidently
  • To provide advice on how to minimise presentation nerves
  • To provide learners with the opportunity to identify how they can present more confidently.
