Learning transfer is the extent to which course participants apply what they have learnt when they return to the workplace. This tool explores the responsibilities course participants have before, during and after training and provides tips and ideas for trainers to use to help get them involved.

Who this tool is for
This tool is for new and inexperienced trainers to help them identify the steps they need to take to get course participants to take responsibility for their own learning.

Tool aims
This tool will help you to:
  • Identify how course participants can take responsibility for their own learning.
  • To provide suggestions as to how trainers can encourage self-reliance in course participants before, during and after their training.
