This tool is loosely based on work by Joe Luft and Harry Ingham known as the Johari Window. It serves two purposes. Having the participants complete a short questionnaire allows you, firstly, to find out what the participants already know or don’t know and, secondly, gives you clues about how to break participants into groups or working pairs – you might want to group them by knowledge levels, mix them up, put them into experienced/inexperienced pairs and so on.
When to use this tool
You can use this tool when you send out the course joining instructions.
- To discover the depth of participants’ knowledge about the topics on the agenda
