Handling aggression

This tool is intended to help managers understand what causes them to behave in an aggressive way at times and to identify what they can do to change this. It is a structured self-reflection exercise which helps the manager to identify the types of situation and people that 'trigger' their aggression. This is followed by the selection, by the manager, of how to address this (from a list provided) for each situation described. 

Tool aims
  • To help managers identify what situations and which people trigger their aggression 
  • To offer several options for what to do in these situations 
  • To create a simple structure for managers to decide on some actions to try out in these situations.
