Investigating and assessing a performance problem

Last Published  01 August 2012

For managers to know in their hearts that a performance problem exists is not enough. They need to be certain that one exists and they need to be able to prove that certainty. To be fair to their employer, themselves and their staff and to prove that they have acted reasonably, they need to be able to show that they have investigated and assessed a performance problem thoroughly and accurately. This tool shows managers the extent of the information they need to assess.

Tool aim
  • To help managers investigate and assess a performance problem.
