Appraisals - 360-degree feedback

Overview

Last Published  01 August 2012

360-degree feedback has been around for some while now. There are two main types. One is where the appraisee's manager collates, or receives from a coordinator, feedback about an appraisee and delivers it to the appraisee during an appraisal discussion. The other type is where the appraisee receives the collated feedback from a coordinator and discusses it with his or her appraiser to determine performance-improving actions.

This tool covers both types of discussions. As for the style of the tool, it will prove more realistic if the participants themselves compile the information rather than rely on prepared case studies.

Tool aims
  • To help carry out 360-degree feedback.
