The Advanced Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring has been developed by the CIPD, in association with The OCM (formerly the Coaching and Mentoring-OSCM) to enable organisations and individuals alike to harness the potential that effective coaching and mentoring offers.

The programme provides you with a thorough understanding of the theory and practice of coaching and mentoring using a blended mixture of face-to-face, distance and online learning methods. The rigorous qualification process incorporates the techniques, tools, standards and ethics essential for effective, high quality professional coaching and mentoring.

The programme complies with the national occupational standards issued by the Employment National Training Organisation (ENTO) and with the professional code of ethics and standards developed by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). The Certificate also carries the EMCC Quality Award kite mark at Practitioner level.

A key benefit of the programme is the highly practical focus on 'learning by doing'. You work with 'learners' for the duration of the programme to develop your own coaching and mentoring expertise. You also undertake regular coach-mentoring sessions with your own personal coach-mentor.
