How to gain the certificate

To be awarded the Advanced Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring, you must present evidence demonstrating that you are able to:

  • actively take part in the provision of consistently high-quality coaching and mentoring through practice and debate
  • exhibit comprehensive knowledge and understanding of theoretical models and application strategies for the development and improvement of coaching and mentoring
  • reflect critically on your own professional strengths and needs
  • synthesise knowledge and skills in theoretical analysis in order to advance your own professional knowledge and practice
  • communicate and advocate coaching and mentoring practices and the results of debates to colleagues within your organisation.

The learning outcomes detailed above for the qualification will be assessed on:

  • comparison and critical analysis of models and best practice
  • interpretation and response to the learning needs of learners in order to facilitate development
  • evaluation, exploration and debate on issues relating to the practical application of theory to coaching and mentoring practice
  • application of reflective learning to your own personal and professional development
  • management of personal learning
  • evidence of critical self-awareness
  • the quality of the organisation, clarity and presentation of the submission file.
