1 Who is the Certificate aimed at?
This Advanced Certificate is suitable for senior learning and development practitioners who are aspiring to, or are actively involved in, management development. It is also suitable for external management development consultants and line managers involved in organisational culture change initiatives.
2 How can I use what I learn back at work?
On completion of the Advanced Certificate you will be able to:
- develop management development strategies that are appropriate for your organisation
- identify key stakeholders and gain their commitment to management development
- advise on and design management development activities for different learning needs, styles and skills
- monitor and evaluate management development activity
- differentiate between performance and potential
- identify performance management stakeholders
- use competency frameworks to design management development strategies
- assess 'high potential' and grow and retain talent
- design and implement a plan for cultural change and utilise a range of tools and techniques to initiate and support change.
3 What is the format?
To be awarded the Advanced Certificate you must:
- attend the three, one-day face-to-face workshops
- complete online case study activities within learning sets
- successfully complete a skills based assignment
- successfully complete a written assignment
- attend the revision day
- pass the CIPD's national examination
- maintain a personal development portfolio that demonstrates a satisfactory level of learning and development.
4 How long will it take?
The Certificate takes 20 weeks to complete. You have a maximum of one year to complete the requirements of the programme.
5 Does the Certificate lead to CIPD membership?
No, the Certificate does not lead to membership of the CIPD.
6 How much does the programme cost?
£2,999.00 + VAT. Fees valid for bookings received before 31 December 2007.
