1) Who is the Certificate aimed at?
The Advanced Certificate is suitable for senior L&D practitioners who are aspiring to, or actively involved in, the management of organisational learning.
2) How can I use what I learn back at work?
On completion of the Advanced Certificate you will be able to:
- evaluate the use of approaches to thinking, problem-solving and decision making
- apply strategies for communicating and influencing people at all levels within the organisation
- support knowledge creation through the learning organisation
- identify individual and team based learning needs and relate these to the business needs
- develop learning solutions for individuals and teams to enhance performance
- design and develop approaches to assess formal and informal learning
- assess individual and team learning and performance through a range of techniques
- assess organisational learning and performance.
3) What is the format?
To be awarded the Advanced Certificate you must:
- attend the three, one-day face-to-face workshops
- complete online case study activities within learning sets
- successfully complete a skills based assignment
- successfully complete a written assignment
- attend the revision day
- pass the CIPD's national examination
- maintain a personal development portfolio that demonstrates a satisfactory level of learning and development.
4) How long will it take?
The Certificate takes 20 weeks to complete. You have a maximum of one year to complete the requirements of the programme.
5 Does the Certificate lead to CIPD membership?
No, the Certificate does not lead to membership of the CIPD.
