1) Who is the Certificate aimed at?

The Advanced Certificate is suitable for senior L&D practitioners who are aspiring to, or actively involved in, the management of organisational learning.

2) How can I use what I learn back at work?

On completion of the Advanced Certificate you will be able to:

• evaluate the use of approaches to thinking, problem-solving and decision making
• apply strategies for communicating and influencing people at all levels within the organisation
• support knowledge creation through the learning organisation
• identify individual and team based learning needs and relate these to the business needs
• develop learning solutions for individuals and teams to enhance performance
• design and develop approaches to assess formal and informal learning
• assess individual and team learning and performance through a range of techniques
• assess organisational learning and performance.

3) What is the format?

To be awarded the Advanced Certificate you must:

• attend the three, one-day face-to-face workshops
• complete online case study activities within learning sets
• successfully complete a skills based assignment
• successfully complete a written assignment
• attend the revision day
• pass the CIPD's national examination
• maintain a personal development portfolio that demonstrates a satisfactory level of learning and development.

4) How long will it take?

The Certificate takes 20 weeks to complete. You have a maximum of one year to complete the requirements of the programme.

5 Does the Certificate lead to CIPD membership?

No, the Certificate does not lead to membership of the CIPD.
