Module overview
Through intelligent use of modern technology we can deliver and manage content easily, memorably and at a proportionate cost. This can give control and independence to learners, improve quality, widen choice and enrich the learning experience. It can also release trainers from low-level knowledge-based tasks, so that they are free to reinforce and extend learning through more intensive and individualised support. In this 2-day workshop you will learn how to master the technologies and apply the processes that ensure successful design and deployment of e-learning in its various forms. The programme is highly practical and broadly non-technical.

  • make plans for the design, procurement, delivery and organisation of e-learning materials
  • apply criteria for deciding whether, when and how to use e-learning materials
  • recognise the advantages of different types of tool and the skills necessary to use them

  • respect copyright and intellectual property
  • recognise gaps in skills, subject knowledge or resources in-house
  • use logical reasoning as to when to commission external contractors, when to use off-the-shelf materials, and when to develop in-house
