Module overview
Through intelligent use of modern technology we can deliver and manage content easily, memorably and at a proportionate cost. This can give control and independence to learners, improve quality, widen choice and enrich the learning experience. It can also release trainers from low-level knowledge-based tasks, so that they are free to reinforce and extend learning through more intensive and individualised support. In this 2-day workshop you will learn how to master the technologies and apply the processes that ensure successful design and deployment of e-learning in its various forms. The programme is highly practical and broadly non-technical.
Benefits to you and your organisation
By the end of the course you will be able to:
make plans for the design, procurement, delivery and organisation of e-learning materials
apply criteria for deciding whether, when and how to use e-learning materials
recognise the advantages of different types of tool and the skills necessary to use them
satisfy the criteria of accessibility, compatibility, usability and attractiveness
respect copyright and intellectual property
recognise gaps in skills, subject knowledge or resources in-house
use logical reasoning as to when to commission external contractors, when to use off-the-shelf materials, and when to develop in-house
