Unit 3 provides an opportunity to explore the exciting new opportunities for collaboration provided by online technologies and to assess these for their suitability for inclusion as elements in blended solutions. You will learn how to moderate discussion forums and chat sessions, to facilitate live online events using web conferencing software and to take advantage of second generation web tools such as 'blogs' (online journals) and 'wikis' (websites for which users generate content). Importantly, you will also learn about the role of the online tutor supporting students throughout a blended learning programme.
