Do you want to be a more effective member of your HR team and help contribute to overall organisational success? If so, the Certificate in HR Administration is a work-related, practical qualification that will help you to develop the confidence and skills you need in the workplace.
You’ll explore the role and scope of the HR function, the purpose of personnel management and the HR administrator, and the range of HR activities. You’ll learn about HR information systems, how to present information in HR and explore a systematic approach to learning and development. Plus, you’ll identify different approaches to recruitment and selection and develop interpersonal communication skills, including assertiveness and how to give and receive constructive feedback
Who is it for?
The Certificate in HR Administration is ideal if you’re an administrator, assistant, PA or secretarial staff, or if you’re entirely or relatively new to the profession. You can also progress to the CIPD Certificate in Human Resources Practice or specialist foundation level awards.
Please note that you must either be working within an HR department, or have access to one, to complete this certificate.
How do I gain the qualification?
To be awarded the qualification, you must:
- attend the two-day course module, The HR Administrator/Assistant
- successfully complete six assessed work-based units:
- supporting the delivery of continuous professional development (CPD) for staff in your organisation supporting the delivery of the performance management process
- developing yourself
- operating recruitment procedures
- operating selection procedures
- collecting and analysing HR data.
- sucessfully complete reading and reflective questions
- maintain a development log.
How long does it take to complete?
You have six months to complete the requirements of the programme.
Accreditation
On successful completion of the programme, you’ll be awarded an ITEC level 2 Certificate in Human Resources Administration.
