The CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice provides a firm foundation in all the areas of personnel. It will help you develop practical, relevant skills and above all, will give you the confidence to be more effective at work. You will gain a broad grasp of employment law so you can set your own organisation's policies and procedures in context; understand how to implement best practice in recruitment and selection; assess how well-planned performance review processes can boost team performance, develop face-to-face interviewing techniques; and be able to identify, plan and evaluate training intervention.
The CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice is a foundation level standard, at an equivalent level to NVQ/SVQ Level 3.
Who is it for?
There are now two methods of studying for the Certificate:
- the flexible Modular programme – ideal for professionals with limited knowledge or experience in personnel and wishing to acquire a wide range of relevant, practical skills
- the Fast-track programme – designed for professionals with more substantial knowledge and experience and wishing to complete the programme within a shorter timeframe.
