The Recruitment and Selection faculty comprises leading academics, consultants and senior practitioners who have been selected from public, private and voluntary sectors because of their expertise and experience in the field.

The faculty is committed to helping the CIPD identify the latest trends and developments, ensuring that we incorporate leading-edge thinking and practices into all our recruitment and selection courses and qualifications.

Rebecca Clake, Chartered MCIPD

Rebecca Clake joined the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in October 2003. She is one of the Institute's experts for organisation and resourcing and is responsible for the CIPD's recruitment, retention and turnover survey.

Robert Farace, Chartered MCIPD

Robert Farace is Head of Resourcing at Cancer Research UK and has worked with several public sector organisations developing their approach to recruitment and selection. He also sits on the CIPD Recruitment Forum Steering Committee.

Philip Horn

Philip Horn is Head of Resourcing for Asda Stores Ltd. Philip has worked in many different areas of HR at Asda and in 2001 moved back into recruitment, taking responsibility for retail recruitment, employer branding and improving existing resourcing processes.

Gareth Roberts, Chartered FCIPD

Gareth Roberts is Director of a consultancy specialising in assisting organisations in the development of HR strategies including the development and application of competencies in selection, pay and performance. Gareth is a member of the Employment Tribunals and author of the CIPD book on Recruitment and Selection.

Neil Roden, Chartered MCIPD

Neil is CIPD Vice-President for Organisation and Resourcing, and Group Director, Human Resources at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Prior to joining RBS Neil spent time in HR at a number of other major banks including Lloyds Bank and National Australia Group (Clydesdale, Northern, Yorkshire, National Irish and National Australia Banks).

Jill Rothwell, Chartered MCIPD

Jill Rothwell is Executive Director (Business Development) at the London Borough of Harrow. Jill began her career in personnel at a major UK charity and has been Chair of the CIPD Recruitment Forum Steering Committee and Chair of the London Region of the Society of Personnel Officers.

William Scott-Jackson, Chartered FCIPD

Professor William Scott-Jackson is Director of the Centre for Applied HR Research at Oxford Brookes University Business School, which carries out practitioner-oriented research into the impact of HR in business. Recent projects include research into the weight investors put on people measures in valuing businesses.

Sally Storey, Chartered FCIPD

Sally Storey is the Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development at Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Trust and has over 20 years’ experience as an HR professional in health care and independent HR consultancy. She is one of eight Vice Presidents of the CIPD and has won national Excellence in HR Awards for her work.

Alan Warner, Chartered FCIPD

Alan Warner is Director of People and Property for Hertfordshire County Council which is rated an 'excellent' organisation and has won major awards for excellence and innovation. His remit spreads into managing the Council's extensive property portfolio, emergency planning and deputising for the Chief Executive.
