Making Blended Learning Work

Recommended for:

Learning and development managers and specialists, and others with a responsibility for implementing learning interventions. No prior technical knowledge is required. Those unfamiliar with blended learning may benefit from first completing the 1-day course Introduction to Blended Learning.

Course overview:

Blended learning combines diverse learning media and modes to provide solutions that exploit the efficiencies afforded by the use of new learning technologies, while never compromising on effectiveness. However, regardless of the quality of its design and development, the success of a blended solution can still be threatened by poor implementation. This 1-day course provides you with an opportunity to explore the factors that are most critical to the success of blended learning, learn from the experiences of other organisations and consider how best to implement blended solutions in your own organisation.

Course benefits:

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • identify those stakeholders from whom you are likely to encounter resistance when implementing your blended programmes
  • develop strategies to overcome this resistance
  • successfully market a blended programme
  • manage the expectations of learners and their managers
  • monitor the ongoing progress of a blended programme using learning management systems and other tools
  • manage and maintain digital content
  • maximise the numbers successfully completing your programmes
  • assess and evaluate your blended programmes
