Bill Cassells is a director of White Young Green plc, a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a division specialising in a broad range of health and safety and environmental service areas.
A former HM Inspector of Health and Safety, he is a corporate member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and a Fellow of the Institute of Plant Engineers and of the Royal Society of Health. He is a Registered Safety Practitioner. Bill is an experienced lecturer and trainer, being the retained visiting lecturer to a number of academic and professional organisations such as College of Personal Injury Law, University of Strasbourg, Law Society etc.
Before joining the HSE where he was a general Inspector for some 12 years, Bill spent two years in the heavy chemicals industry as a Chemical Engineer followed by a further two years in the printing industry in Works Management. He has been a Health and Safety consultant since 1986 and has worked in this capacity for a wide range of industry sectors and company sizes including many of the FTSE 100 companies.
