On day 2 participants will work through a real-life case study involving a tribunal claim from start to finish. Video clips of a mock tribunal will also be

Course tutors

Mr Mike Worthington

Mike Worthington Chartered FCIPD, is a specialist lecturer, trainer and adviser in Employment Law and the Management of Change. Mike has worked across a wide range of industry sectors both in the UK and abroad.

Mike began his career in the hospitality industry where he concentrated on Personnel, Employee Relations and Management Development opening new hotels all over the world. As Personnel Director with Forte Hotels he looked after Fortes London properties and their International and Five Star businesses.

In 1996, Mike entered a joint venture partnership with Regal Hotels as Human Resources Director which built the business from 7 to 127 hotels in three years – becoming an expert in TUPE in the process!

Since 1999, Mike has been involved in consultancy across a range of sectors including hospitality, sports and leisure, oil and petroleum, agriculture, telecoms, retail and local government.

In support of Mike’s law work, he sits as a member of the Employment Appeal Tribunal which hears cases on points of law arising from Employment Tribunals and also has a Masters Degree in Human Resources and European Employment Law.
