Mrs Carolyn Carrington
Mr Derek Eccleston

Derek is Managing Director of Employment Law Training Limited, and regularly presents, writes and provides consultancy advice on employment law issues.

Derek is an experienced, practical consultant, specialising in the provision of advice and training on employment law and employee relations. He spent over 20 years in senior HR roles in a number of industries - local government, engineering and financial services, prior to joining the Employment team of a prominent law firm. After 6 years Derek left to set up his own consultancy, in 2001.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD), and completed an MA in Employment Law with Leicester University in 2000. He is a senior presenter for the CIPD and is also a personal tutor on the CIPD Advanced Certificate in Employment Law.

More recently Derek has authored Employment Law publications for CIPD, Gower Publishing and contributed to the LEXCEL Guide, published by the Law Society.

In 2006 Derek successfully completed a Training Skills refresher programme and was also appointed as a recognised trainer for the Financial Services Skills Council.
