Thousands of professionals train every year with us, taking part in our short courses, qualifications and flexible learning programmes.

About the Course

Recommended for:

The HR for Line Managers is an ideal course if you have the added responsibility for day-to-day HR aspects of people management. You can acquire a fresh overview of all HR elements to help you perform better, in compliance with employment law in full.

Course overview:

Employees are an organisation’s most important (and costly) asset. The effective management of people in any organisation is, therefore, essential to business success.

Course benefits:

You’ll be given the essential knowledge to further develop your managerial role; working with HR to improve employer and employee relationships, by focusing on effective recruitment and selection; identifying learning and development needs; maximising employee engagement and motivation, and managing performance. You’ll know when (and how) to take the lead on HR issues as a line manager, and when to consult HR; via a blend of group work, reallife case studies (to apply theory and practice), group discussion, and individual action planning.

'My aim for this course was to update my knowledge of performance reviews and exchange ideas with fellow attendees on this course; the course delivered so much more though. The tutor brought out the best in all of us so that we were able to get the most out of each other’s experiences. This was underpinned by the tutor’s knowledge and confidence in the subject which brought together and brought to life all the theories through relevant and up-to-date anecdotes that supported our learning. Altogether an enjoyable and inspiring couple of days.’ Tricia
