Recommended for:

Newly-appointed supervisors and team leaders, those about to be promoted to that role, experienced supervisors who would welcome refresher training.

Course overview:

The transition from team member to team leader is highly demanding. This course enables supervisors/team leaders to become fully effective as smoothly and as quickly as possible. Because supervisors focus on the day-to-day implementation of the organisation’s strategies, your contribution is vital in getting things done. This course enables you to understand how your role and your style impacts on your team’s ability to meet the organisation’s standards and expectations.

  • describe the role of the supervisor/team leader
  • manage the personal transition from team member to team leader
  • identify your own and your team’s key result areas
  • agree and set performance objectives with your team
  • identify your preferred management style, and at least three other appropriate styles
