Catherine Gilbert
Catherine Gilbert, MA (Cantab), MBA, is an independent Career Coach working with individuals on their career management needs and supporting HR Managers in organisations to improve individual employee performance. She also operates as a senior associate for a leading global career management organisation, coaching senior executives in career transition.

Her background includes a long and successful career running the largest UK operation of an international career management consultancy, where she grew the business and created and implemented the delivery of new career management programmes, including the accreditation of new consultants. From this and her earlier careers in Executive Search and Education, she gained an in-depth understanding of what it takes to be successful in any career and has often appeared on TV, radio and in the print media as an expert on career management issues.

Val Allen
Val is an experienced senior lecturer and career consultant working with corporate, public and voluntary sector clients as well as individuals facing change. She is a consultant to the University of East London, Canterbury Christ Church University and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She has written and developed a wide range of courses, specialising in career development within a changing labour market. Mentoring and developing trainees is an important strand to her work, through training, assessment and work on an ENTO Working Party developing National Occupational Standards for counselling.
Richard Braybrooke
Richard Braybrooke is a professional Career and Leadership Consultant with well-rounded experience in Human Resource management and people development. Richard is a Fellow of the CIPD and is a current Steering Committee member for the Institute’s counselling and career management forum as well as membership adviser for his local Branch. His background includes senior HR positions in the engineering, retail and financial services sectors.

A practitioner in psychometric tests Richard has also had experience in a London based headhunting firm and for ten years in a senior consulting role with a leading international career management firm. For the past three years he has developed his own career and talent management practice based in the West of England.
