The Organisations and the Role of HR course is for you if you're embarking on a career in HR, or at the outset of your HR career.

This one-day course offers an excellent opportunity to understand how HR activities support organisations. It’s designed to facilitate an exploration of the role and scope of the HR function and the value it can deliver to an organisation.

Organisations and the Role of HR can be completed as a standalone course, or as part of the CIPD Foundation Level Award in Understanding Organisations and the Role of HR qualification programme.

The Organisations and the Role of HR course will give you a really practical knowledge base. You will explore the structure, culture and functions of organisations and recognise the importance of business planning. You will discuss the need to identify key strategic imperatives and ensure they remain aligned within an organisation. You’ll describe the broader HR agenda and consider the different ways in which an HR function may operate and, finally, you will consider the key ways in which HR contributes to the success of an organisation.
