Course overview:
Accurate and valid knowledge about the nature of well-being, the factors that influence it, how it can be measured, and ways of improving it are paramount for developing and sustaining organisational effectiveness. It is now essential to view action for assessing, developing and improving individual and organisational health and well-being as an investment and not a cost. With this knowledge and understanding, organisations place themselves at an advantage in terms of managing individual performance, reducing absence, enhancing the recruitment and retention of staff and improving the bottom line. This course seeks to develop a clear and useable knowledge of well-being and demonstrate how managing well-being can come with a consequential benefit for the employee and the organisation in terms of health, performance and profit. The course is about developing healthy, resilient and high-performing organisations.
