Course overview:
Selection assessment commonly utilises a variety of methods – for example, references, application forms, CVs, biodata, interviews, tests and assessment centres that may involve work simulation, sample exercises, group activities etc. Whatever the methods used, it’s crucial to ensure that assessment is systematic and that the eventual selection decisions are reliable, valid, standardised and free from bias. To do so means adherence to key scientific principles.
This course explores those scientific principles and their application to selection and assessment, and provides a sound basis for the review and validation of existing selection processes.
