Course tutors

Mr Denis Crowe

Denis Crowe is head of reward management consulting for Pilat HR Solutions which he joined in January 2005. Pilat HR Solutions is an international, multi-disciplinary Human Resources and IT Consultancy. Prior to joining Pilat HR Services, Denis was a senior manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ human resource consulting practice where he was responsible for a small team developing the all-employee reward practice. Denis has a BSc in Economics and has written and contributed to numerous articles on the subject of reward management for the CIPD and others. Prior to PwC, he worked for Incomes Data Services.

His expertise encompasses all aspects of reward management, including: high level reviews of payment systems and reward strategies linked to business need; pay and grading reviews; performance related (PRP) pay arrangements; and market pricing of jobs – all employee and senior executive – including salary and benefit surveys. He has led a wide range of remuneration engagements in both the public and private sectors, across European and International locations. Most of these involved a wider review of business objectives and linking reward policies and practices to business requirements.

With over 20 years’ experience as a reward management specialist, his clients have included manufacturing and service companies, government departments and agencies, banks, insurance companies and large charities. Denis has particular expertise in pay and job evaluation in the public sector and also in the further education sector.
